The building of the totally revamped Sun Vacation
Club self-catering timeshare units (costing a total of
R300 million) commenced towards the end of last
year and is well underway. The first units (of the 184
two-bedroom units and 50 three-bedroom units)
were completed in March of this year. And, as an
RCI® member, you already have access to these
units. The finishing touches to the remaining units
will be completed and all units will be ready for
occupation by the end of November 2014 (just in
time for that year-end holiday!).
“Designed to inspire, the earthiness of the
design of the new units connects you with the
surrounding environment, while still ensuring
nothing but comfort and convenience,” says John
Lee, Chairman of Sun International Vacation
Club. And he’s quite right – the décor is fresh,
attractive and slick, yet comfortable and practical.
“We took guests’ input in consideration with the
design and redevelopment,” says John Lee. “For
example, guests told us that a private braai would
be preferable over the previous communal set-up.
So, now each unit has their own private braai area
on the patio or balcony.”
IT’ S ALL ABOUT THE SUN
CITY VI BE
When staying in a Sun Vacation timeshare unit,
you have access to all the Sun City facilities. This
includes golf on two champion courses, the fantastic
Valley of the Waves, game drives, a choice of dazzling
casinos and world-class restaurants, sparkling
swimming pools, the Zip Slide as well as the latest
addition to Sun City, The Maze.
Drawing children of all ages is Kamp Kwena, which
offers a fully supervised programme of activities
and facilities. Assured that everyone is safe and
having fun, parents can easily enjoy well-deserved
opportunities to relax and have fun of their own.
Just a stone’s throw away is the Pilanesberg Game
Reserve. Certainly one of South Africa’s top tourist
attractions, with thrilling Big Five viewing, it’s also
a malaria-free area, so families with young children
can enjoy the bushveld too.
GET IN ON THE ACTION
The sale of the new self-catering units to the
public was launched at the Sun City Nedbank
Golf Challenge. Lee commented that “sales have
exceeded our expectations, which we believe is
indicative of the exceptional value for money of
the property as well as the high demand for Sun
City.” The units are being sold on a ten-year club
membership basis and owners will enjoy all the usual
benefits of being complimentary RCI
®
timeshare
member, as well as all the delights of Sun City.
