A lot has changed in the world of travel over the past 40 years.
We can now book our flights online; smart phones allow us to
share our memories instantly (gone are the days of subjecting
friends and family to excruciatingly long slide shows of your
recent holiday!); we seek holiday references from perfect
strangers, using travel apps like TripAdvisor; and conduct holiday
research using Facebook and the Internet.
But there are some things that haven’t changed. Travel still
challenges us to see the world from a different perspective – to
meet new people, experience different cultures, listen to their
stories and taste their food, dance to their music and learn a little
of their history. Travel still rejuvenates the body while it nourishes
the soul. It’s timeless and, we’re guessing, this will never change.
