Canaltime at Union Wharf is based on the Market Harborough arm of the Grand Union Canal. The narrowboat accommodation travels at three to six kms per hour. Cruising from Union Wharf for nine kms will take you onto the Grand Union Canal, from where you can travel north towards Leicester or south through Foxton Locks. For cruising purposes guests must be fit, able-bodied and comply with the minimum occupancy policy.

Guests must contact the Marina one week before their start date to confirm their arrival time, as safety training needs to be arranged. Guests must check in at 2 pm.

Cruising is not always possible due to maintenance stoppages, and closures due to poor weather conditions.
Damage waiver £55, if not taken then there is a £500 charge to a card which is refunded once the boat has been returned with all the inventory in place and undamaged. Check in outside of normal check in hours/days of 2-5pm in summer and 2-4pm in winter, can only be made by arrangement direct with the marina. This may not be possible and is subject to a charge of up to £50 if it is possible.
Party must consist of 2 active adults, both over the age of 21. Cruising is subject to compulsory training only available on check-in days. You must watch the Canal & River Trust DVD, either online on http://www.video-server.co.uk/boaters-video.php or the resort can post the DVD to you upon request. A good knowledge of English is required. Guests must check in at 2pm.
Confirmation paperwork is required upon check-in at the resort.
If applicable, additional fees for some utilities, including gas and electricity may be charged by the resort and varies based on stay duration, season, room size and actual usage, and is payable directly to the resort by you. These fees are not included in the total booking price.

BY AIR: Nearest airport Birmingham 45 Miles. From Birmingham airport follow signs for M42 North. Exit the M42 at junction 7A signed M6 London. Continue along M6 until junction 1A signed A14. Continue on A14 and exit at junction 2 signposted Market Harborough. Once in the Town Centre, follow the paved road north, along the High Street and the Leicester Road. Shortly after the police station, turn left up the side if the "Union Inn". The reception is behind the Union Inn, overlooking the Marina.
