Conveniently located 3,5 hours from Johannesburg, Durban and Bloemfontein, Kiara Resort boasts excellent facilities. The surrounds make for great exploring.

Resort bulletin board: 3 nature walks, 4x4 trail,Body Bliss Day Spa. Book in advance to avoid dissapointment (+27 58 256 1062). There is an onsite Restaurant, open Monday to Saturdays 08h00-21h00 and Sundays 08h00-15h00. Guests can phone ahead and order food before arrival. They also do side dishes for braais, these need to be ordered before 12h00. Extra facilities: There is no canoeing on the dam, it is for bass fishing only. Other nearby facilities include a children's playground with jungle gym, pub, pool table, outdoor chess, mini golf (18 holes), 3 trampolines, Gym, Rock Climbing, King Swing , Bushman paintings, hiking trails, curio shops, bird watching, horseriding, table tennis and tennis and a fully licensed bar. Nearby facilities: Quad Motorbikes 14km, Gnu Safari's game drive 20km, Lions Rock, Golden Gate National Park 5km, Dinosaur trails 15km, Gladstone Dam 5km, trout and river fishing 3km, full-day hikes 4km, and fly fishing. Restuarant 09h00-21h00 except Sundays open for breakfast and lunch closes at 15h00 Unit facilities: All units have hairdryers. Laundry service available for wash and fold only. Tourist attractions: Golden Gate National Park, Clarens with its 14 art galleries and many craft and coffee shops and Surrender Hill is 25km from Kiara Lodge.
