Situated in a valley of unsurpassed beauty on the eastern escarpment, Verlorenkloof is about nature and all the ways to enjoy its bounty. The Crofts (a Gaelic term for stone and thatch abodes) are spaced beyond sight and sound of each other in a woodland surrounded by towering cliffs, forests and streams. Beautifully designed, furnished and equipped to a special standard, offering the ultimate country relaxation. The resort is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts as the 375-ha property boasts a 420km network of hiking trails, rich tree and birdlife (189 different species have been spotted to date), and trout dams and in-stream weirs for fishing enthusiasts. Stone ruins dating back to the 1800s can also be found on the property. Dairy farming is an ongoing concern on the estate.

Check-in 15h00 - 17h00 Wednesdays to Fridays. Please advise should you arrive at any other time.
The resort specialises in trout fishing and provides a peaceful, quiet and relaxing holiday. The nearest airport is Nelspruit 100km away.
Extra facilities:
There is a small convenience store at reception. Horse riding instructor available by prior arrangement at a per hour cost. Please book in advance.

The units are fully self catering and are equipped with full kitchens.
Bring own towels for swimming and fishing.
Croft is serviced twice daily.
We offer a full washing service - Pick up, every day except Sundays.
