Resort Important Information

* Your exchange is strictly not transferrable for commercial gain and should you use your exchange for such purposes, your RCI membership will immediately be cancelled without any booking and membership fee refund.
* Resorts are required to check proof of Identity upon check in.
* Reception is open daily from 8am to 8pm. Sundays 8am to 5pm
* South Africans need a passport to drive the full Sani Pass route even if they have no intentions of travelling into Lesotho (the pass is still within the boundaries of South Africa). And Toll fees – determined by the weight of your vehicle are charged.
* Drivers of South African registered cars crossing SA borders must carry and present the following documentation (signed by a Commissioner of Oaths) at the border posts:
Regulations do change, and a customs officer advises SA travellers to check with the SA Auto Club on border regulation updates. 
     1) A Certified copy of the vehicle registration / licence papers
     2) A Certified letter from the bank, giving authorization to take the vehicle across the border and this must indicate the dates of 
         travel (for vehicles that are still being financed).
     3) If the driver of the vehicle is not the owner of the vehicle, an affidavit from the police giving authorization from the owner for the 
         vehicle to be taken abroad is required.  If it is a rental vehicle, there must be a letter from the rental company given permission to
         take the vehicle out of the country.
* It is advisable to stock up at the Spar in Underberg prior to check-in at the resort.
* Castleburn has membership to the Glengarrie Golf Club at Drakensberg Gardens Resort. Guests can play there
* Unit numbers 42, 43, 50 and 51 are classified as 2/06 units however the units can sleep 8 people. The unit layout consists of a main bedroom with a double bed, a second room with twin beds and then an open plan loft area with 4 single beds.
* There is a non-refundable levy payable to the resort upon check in.  This is for the upkeep of the amenities and is charged per chalet per week. This levy excludes Archery, the Pedal Boats, Pool, Video Games, Horse Riding and Fly Fishing.  Certain equipment requires a refundable deposit.
* It is very important to complete the unit inventory on arrival and hand to either Housekeeping or Reception. Guests will be liable for all shortages, breakages or damage in the unit should anything NOT be specified on the inventory list and it's not handed in.
* Resort is situated in the mountains and not suitable for the walking impaired.
* All apartments are accessible by stairs from the parking area.
* Resort is not wheelchair friendly.
* WI-FI is only available at the main building, vouchers can be bought from reception.
* The restaurant's operating hours are as follows: Monday to Saturday for Lunch from 12pm to 2pm and Dinner from 6pm to 8pm. Sunday only for Lunch from 12pm to 2pm.
** PLEASE NOTE: IT IS EXTREMELY COLD DURING THE MONTHS OF JUNE TO AUGUST. TEMPERATURES CAN DROP WELL BELOW "0" DEGREES CELSIUS.**
** Please note: Fisherman's Loft apartments with even numbers are downstairs and odd numbers are upstairs.**
** Please note: No pets are permitted at any of the RCI Affiliated Resorts. **
